What's funny is all of the files are there for all of the games. I just tried to install the additional content, and the same thing happened. I'm going to tinker with it.ĮDIT 4: Yep, it's definitely Origin and not the games. There has to be some trick to this.ĮDIT 3: Tried to install a non-C&C game (Battlefield 1942) through origin and the same thing happened. It still finishes the Install but only gives the option to install again. I'll try this trick on the older games, but I won't keep my hopes up.ĮDIT 2: Nope, it did not work with the original C&C. It's almost like you have to trick it into installing the games somehow, like I did with C&C 3.ĮDIT: Okay, C&C 4 installed after verifying the files. So I verified the game cache and I'm trying to install again, running as admin. I tried to do C&C 4 also, but the installer simply wouldn't finish (even after like 2 hours). Ran it as administrator just now, and it still has the same problem. I'll start backwards next, starting with the additional content, then C&C 4, and so on.ĮDIT 2: Same problem with Red Alert 2 as the original. I'm going to exit Origin and restart Windows. I'm installing Tiberian Sun right now to see if it has the same sort of problem.ĮDIT: Tib Sun won't install correctly either, but this is because it stops during the install after not being able to install Westwood Online correctly.ĮDIT 3: Same problem with Generals.
I install the game (the original Command & Conquer), it executes and all the files are there in the folder, but then when it is finished it doesn't give me the option to play, only to install again.Ĭommand & Conquer 3 installed, though the install worked only after force closing Origin during install and trying to install again.
It just says to check things for the DVD if it won't install (which doesn't apply since I downloaded the games from Origin). I looked all over the common problems thread and couldn't find the answer.
